Sierra College Voter Registration

We are an upbeat, positive, non-confrontational team. We use surveys to engage students. This "hook" provides us with the opportunity to talk to students and find out if they are registered to vote. It also gives us the opportunity to educate students and find out what their political views are and what issues matter to them. We will also be focusing on getting students ready for the Primary Election in June and encouraging them to register and vote.

After We March, We Organize! Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group

Mass demonstrations, like Hands Off!, NO KINGS, and Good Trouble Lives On, generate a tremendous amount of energy! We can't let that energy dissipate. We can harness it and turn it into action.

Come learn how to be an organizer and make change in your community. We'll teach you all the things we wish we'd known when we got started. We often have guest speakers on topics like Immigrant Rights, Indigenous History, Cybersecurity, How to Protest Safely, and more!

One of the first objectives of civil resistance movements is to attract more people to the movement and mobilize them into action. It has been demonstrated that no movement with 3.5% of the population engaged in continuous mobilization has ever failed - but they used other actions beyond mass demonstrations. Join us in planning actions to make this happen.

Solidarity Warriors is an action-focused, Indivisible group formed after the November election. We're one of the main groups organizing mass demonstrations in Denver. We're made up of people from across the nation, many in Colorado. We're focused on action rather than just airing political grievances, so please come prepared to talk about what you want to DO to resist the new administration and protect vulnerable communities.

Four Weeks of Power: Organizing Skills Training Series

Four Weeks of Power: Organizing Skills Training Series

Join us for this introductory organizing training program that covers the basics of grassroots organizing skills, with a focus on base building, leadership development, and building strong committees.

You will learn best practices in holding one-to-ones, conducting outreach, building strong local committees, and developing leadership, so they can build a broader, stronger base of parents taking action to defend and transform public schools.

Please make sure you sign up for all four sessions! Each session builds on the content from the previous sessions.

Week 1: Intro to Organizing in this Political Moment

Our first session grounds us in the political moment we’re in, unmasking the billionaires and autocrats driving the austerity agenda, and why we need to lean into organizing in this divisive political moment. We know the power of organizing in the face of authoritarianism; and so this session will provide an introduction to community organizing in the context of the rising authoritarianism we’re seeing in real time.

Week 2: Building our Base

Our second week will focus on the key skills needed to successfully grow a base of committed parents, educators and students that can take action to defend public education. We’ll cover the rigor, time and discipline needed to do effective outreach in order to build a crew to meet this moment, understanding what motivates your base to take risks and move into action.

Week 3: Building a Powerful Team

This session will do a deep dive on how to build and sustain a local team of leaders that vibe together and relate well, in order to build towards mutual accountability and support. Building strong teams helps us build the local power we need to advocate for the public schools our communities deserve, and build collective muscle in the face of growing authoritarianism.

Week 4: Planning Powerful Actions

This session will anchor us in the components of an effective campaign so we can better analyze our power, develop strategy, and brainstorm effective tactics that have a lasting impact. We’ll define power, and how we can effectively wield our power through small and big actions.

This training is FREE of charge and is open to organizers and community members who want to deepen their organizing skills and build local teams to fight to protect and transform public education.

4 Weeks of Power is coordinated and led by Midwest Academy, NYU Metro Center and organizers and leaders from Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools (AROS) member groups.

Pramila Jayapal's Resistance Lab: MAY Virtual Organizing Training

Pramila Jayapal's Resistance Lab: MAY Virtual Organizing Training

Interested in hosting an organizing training with your friends and family on May 3rd? We'll show you how! Simply fill out this form: https://forms.gle/4mD39GfEm2fVdAkB8. Once submitted, a member of our team will reach out the week of the event with all the tools and resources you need to host a successful training.

The Resistance Lab is a series of trainings that are developed specifically for this moment. In this first lab, we look at how non-violent movements around the world have responded to leaders who seize power in authoritarian ways and the most effective tools and tactics to utilize in these moments. We offer frameworks to understand this moment at home, and incorporate interactive conversation with others to help create community and build our resistance movement.

The Resistance Lab was developed with experts who have researched and studied democratic backsliding around the world as well as in the United States and the non-violent movements that have emerged to challenge those authoritarian leaders. We also draw from many toolkits for effective tactics and frameworks as well as from Pramila’s own background leading successful organizing movements for economic and social justice for two decades.

Our goals are to help people understand how democracies fall and the most effective resistance movements that have challenged authoritarians and dictators; to turn anger, fear and frustration into action in the short-term while also preparing for a coordinated resistance movement for the longer term; and to build community across the country that can help grow our movement. At the end of the day, we want to get people strike-ready and street-ready and make sure we protect our people, our freedoms and our democracy.

With Trump and his MAGA billionaires doubling down on their attacks on the economic livelihoods of people to thrive and on our democracy, we can’t afford to sit this moment out. This is about building real power together. And it starts with you.

RSVP TODAY and secure your spot! You’ll receive the ZOOM link closer to the event date. And don’t forget to share this with your network!

Gold Country Fighting Oligarchy Monthly Update

Remember attending a Town Hall last year? Or maybe you signed a pledge after a text banking session in November. Perhaps you've done phonebanking with us recently. Maybe you are brand new to activism, and want to take action because you can no longer sit on the sidelines.

There are many concerns: health care, food assistance, education funding, getting ICE out of our communities, and creeping authoritarianism.

Kevin Kiley has voted for all of these disasterous policies. Help us hold Kevin Kiley accountable.

On this Zoom call, we will hear from local leaders, discuss the current political situation, share stories, discuss ways to take action to ensure Kiley is removed from office next November, and next steps for our movement.

Bring your passion, skills, ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm!

West Coast Connection Coalition Call – Alliance for Democracy Hosting

Join us for our monthly West Coast Connection call as we develop, in coalition, impactful strategies to defend our democracy. Working locally and connecting regionally, in Southern, Central, and Northern California, Oregon, and Washington States, we share resources and support actions, benefiting from each group's perspectives and contributions.

We are actively building a coalition where we can amplify actions and programs, share resources and tools, celebrate our successes, brainstorm ideas, and support one another in addressing challenging issues.

We will have the opportunity to share group actions, programming, and resources, and request support, as well.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. We recommend all participants review our safety and security resource before your event: https://indivisi.org/safety

Take Back the House Phonebank

In 2025, we made history by passing Prop 50. Now it’s time to turn that victory into lasting change by Taking Back the House!

We're going to reach out to voters in our targeted districts early to hear their issues, concerns and ideas. And we'll be using some of the best practices from Deep Canvassing to have more engaged and meaningful conversations.

Tuesdays - 5:30-7:30 PM for Congressman Derek Tran in CD 45 and against Cong. Issa - CD 48

Thursdays - 5:30-7:30 PM for Congressman Adam Gray in CD 13 and against Cong. Valadao - CD 22

Whether you’re a seasoned phoner or brand new, you’ll be supported every step of the way. We use a dialer call system to make the calls more efficient so you'll need a computer, laptop or tablet and internet access to make the calls.

ACLU People Power Action Call

Join our next ACLU People Power Action Call on April 28th at 8 PM ET for an update on where the fight stands—and how you can take action.

But we haven't just been watching. We've been fighting back together.

On this call, we'll break down the biggest moves from this administration so far—and how our movement is rising up in the courts, in the states, and in the streets. We'll share how trans communities and Medicaid recipients and so many others are leading the charge, and share how you can take action and get activated with ACLU People Power.

This is the moment to get clear-eyed, grounded, and organized.

April 25th is a National Day of Protest: "Communities Not Cages".

Indivisible Auburn will be sponsoring an event that day. We will meet at the Auburn/Placer County Historic Courthouse for the rally against ICE detention and abuse. We will also have another copy of our petition to the Placer County Board of Supervisors to stand up to ICE and to not allow any future detention centers in the county. if you haven't signed it yet, please do at this time.

For our "Communities" portion of the event, we will be doing a FOOD DRIVE for our local food closet. We will have a table set up in the small parking lot across from the Courthouse ( Air Pollution Control). You can drive through and drop off your donations. Non-perishable foods. Highly desired are baking supplies (flour and sugar), canned goods (meat, fruit, soup, chili) peanut butter, dry good (oatmeal, cereal, pasta, rice) cooking oil, diapers, laundry soap, hygiene items and more. We need to support our communities as much as possible as costs continue to rise making many people food insecure. Of course, cash donations are very welcome as they can be used by the food closet to buy in bulk at, potentially, lower prices.

2026 Voter Pledge Canvassing in Placer

Voting is our superpower! If our votes weren't important, the GOP wouldn't be trying so hard to stop us from voting. And the June Primary will be here before we know it.

Join us as we talk with Democratic voters and secure their pledges to vote.

We will knock on doors throughout Roseville and Rocklin to talk with voters about why we need to elect Democrats. We will also remind voters to cast their ballots for Democrats up and down the ballot!

New and skilled canvassers are welcome. Training and materials will be provided. Canvassing is always fun as we participate in the democratic process! Remember, Democracy is NOT a spectator sport.

CA Superintendent of Public Instruction Candidate Forum

The State of California spends more than a third of its estimated $248.3 billion General Fund Budget on K-12 education. The state Superintendent of Public Instruction (SPI) is an important, high-profile elected position responsible for leading the California Department of Education (CDE) and overseeing public education for more than 6 million K-12 students.

In the upcoming June Primary Election, Californians will be voting for a new superintendent. The top two vote-getters will advance to the General Election in November. To help voters with this critical decision, CPI and co-host AAUW California are hosting a free, open to the public, online candidate forum. All of the declared candidates have been invited to share their views on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 9 am - 10:30am. Seven of 10 candidates are confirmed to participate: Richard Barrera, Nichelle M. Henderson, Frank Lara, Wendy Casteneda Leal, Gus Mattammal, Al Maratsuchi, and Anthony Rendon.

We'll be running virtual phonebanks 2 times every week:

Tuesdays - 5:30-7:30 PM for Congressman Derek Tran in CD 45 and against Cong. Issa - CD 48

Thursdays - 5:30-7:30 PM for Congressman Adam Gray in CD 13 and against Cong. Valadao - CD 22

Whether you’re a seasoned phoner or brand new, you’ll be supported every step of the way. We use a dialer call system to make the calls more efficient so you'll need a computer, laptop or tablet and internet access to make the calls.

Bring a friend and be part of the movement shaping the future of our state and our country. Join us and help Take Back the House!

This May Day, we’re calling for a day of No Work, No School, No Shopping.

Join us and Grassroots Democracy for a training on what “No Work, No School, No Shopping,” really means. Find out how you can participate in nonviolent, economic disruption on May 1 and learn more about the strategy behind economic noncooperation and why we’re taking action now.
