Party at the Polls Launch Call

Join Civic Nation and the When We All Vote team on July 29th at 4pm Eastern for our Party at the Polls Launch Call!

~What is Party at the Polls~

Party at the Polls is a nonpartisan program that activates communities, reinvents the voting experience, and ultimately boosts turnout among underrepresented voters. Now in its 10th year, Party at the Polls is a tested, scaled, and evidence-based approach to increasing voter turnout. By hosting culturally relevant celebrations and promoting community-led parties, we encourage voters to make their voices heard and create easy on-ramps to participation.

~Who is this call for~

Anyone who wants to join a national movement to leverage community, joy and fun to ensure that every voter across the country is met with an overwhelmingly welcoming, celebratory, and supportive presence at voting sites from early voting through election day.

We’re excited to share more specifics about what this program will look like, what makes a successful Party at the Polls, what resources will be available from our team to support you in hosting an event this fall, and to ensure you feel clear on the next steps for how you can join this movement!

After We March, We Organize! Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group

Mass demonstrations, like Hands Off!, NO KINGS, and Good Trouble Lives On, generate a tremendous amount of energy! We can't let that energy dissipate. We can harness it and turn it into action.

Come learn how to be an organizer and make change in your community. We'll teach you all the things we wish we'd known when we got started. We often have guest speakers on topics like Immigrant Rights, Indigenous History, Cybersecurity, How to Protest Safely, and more!

America has been here before. 🕰️ Historian Timothy Snyder studied how democracies collapsed across 20th-century Europe and turned it into 20 practical lessons for defending democracy today. This week, we're using them as our roadmap. 🗺️

🗣️ What we'll cover:

  • Where things actually stand right now, with sources, not spin

  • Snyder's 20 lessons grouped into 5 things you can act on this week

  • Concrete, doable actions: calls to make, registrations to check, causes to fund

💪 You'll leave with a short list of things you can actually do, not just another hour of doom-scrolling with company.

🙋 New to organizing? Perfect, this is a great place to start. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Returning? Bring a friend! We'll have discussion time built in.

History isn't something that happens to us. It's something we make. Let's make some. Join the resistance with us!✊

Solidarity Warriors is an action-focused, Indivisible group formed after the November election. We're one of the main groups organizing mass demonstrations in Denver. We're made up of people from across the nation, many in Colorado. We're focused on action rather than just airing political grievances, so please come prepared to talk about what you want to DO to resist the new administration and protect vulnerable communities.

What Is AI? Why Resist It? A Four-Part Webinar Series

What Is AI? Why Resist It? A Four-Part Webinar Series

Artificial Intelligence poses a major threat to human civilization. It is taking away jobs and being used for surveillance/incarceration, it is destroying the environment with polluting data centers. It is mixing fact with disinformation and taking away foundational skills needed for human critical thinking. Even some Big Tech leaders have admitted that AI could result in catastrophic consequences.

Northeast Los Angeles Alliance for Democracy invites you to a four-part webinar series to address these concerns and offer ideas for resistance and action.

Session I: AI and Labor | Wednesday July 29 @ 6 p.m.

AI is cutting jobs on a massive scale and either not replacing them or replacing them with lower-skilled and lower-paid jobs. AI increases the intensity of the surveillance of every movement of the body to increase speed, which also increases injuries. State capitalism offers Big Tech monopolies tax cuts, subsidies, and deregulation to thwart labor organizing. How are workers from the Amazon Labor Union, National Nurses United, and the film industry responding?

Speakers: James Saccardo, Amazon Labor Union-International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 1 member, political director, and organizer Lee Barker, National Nurses United Organizing Committee Harold Moss, Emmy award-winning animation producer Moderator: Frieda Afary, Librarian and Author

Session II: AI and the Environment | Wednesday, August 5 @ 6 p.m. PT

AI’s massive use of energy and water, its polluting effects, and its intensification of the climate crisis make it an existential danger. The data centers on which AI relies threaten our communities with air pollution, constant noise, water quality degradation, and higher electricity and water rates. Learn about the resistance to data centers.

Speakers: Dr. Jose Pablo Ortiz Partida, Union of Concerned Scientists Bill Kelly, Environmental Journalist, author of Smogtown: The Lung-Burning History of Los Angeles and The People's Republic of Chemicals.

Session III: AI and Education | Wednesday, August 12, 2026 @ 6 p.m. PT

AI is taking away our ability to analyze and critically comprehend what we read. It is reducing us to passive recipients of information. What are AI’s short-term and long-term risks to education and critical thinking? How are educators, students, and parents responding to these challenges?

Speakers: Nick Rabb, Postdoctoral researcher at California State University, Los Angeles, researching AI in education, and methods of institutional change in higher education Frieda Afary, Public Librarian and Author D.P. Snyder, Writer, Poet, Critic, and Literary Translator from Spanish

Session IV: AI and Surveillance/Incarceration | Wednesday August 26 @6 p.m. PT

AI started as a military technology. Big Tech companies like Palantir are designing the mechanics of mass deportation by ICE. At the local police level, AI is being used to integrate data from a growing number of sources to create instant dossiers on people. AI is facilitating a centralized fascist state with a powerful surveillance, police, and prison system to dominate and exploit humans. How are activists responding to these developments?

Speaker: Ray Acheson, author and activist who connects transnational and local efforts against militarism, the carceral system, borders, and other forms of state violence.

What’s in My Toolkit?

  • Virtual event - Join from anywhere! (Hosted in Santa Rosa) (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This an Indivisible Virtual Ongoing Series. Beginner Friendly. Hosted from Santa Rosa, CA 95402

YOU are invited to Sign-up, Register for this Ongoing Series - Witticists Virtual Neighbor Meetings. “What’s in My Toolkit?”

In these meetings, let’s explore “What’s in my Toolkit?” Am I ready to take action in my local community and challenge an authoritarian system with “Demands?” No Wars. Tax the rich. Ice out. No private army with unchecked federal power? Protect: Voter’s Rights, Suppression, Results, and Mail-in Voting? Community support needs? My Neighbors?

“On Friday, January 23, Minnesotans of every race, place, and faith gathered across the state in prayer vigils for a Day of Truth and Freedom. It was a state wide day of non-violent moral action, reflection: no work, no school, no shopping — only community, conscience, and collective action.” Minneapolis and the Twin Cities set an example of how to take action in their local communities. Their “actions” were an incentive for other grassroots city and state leaders to study what Minnesota had done and how it could be adapted in their areas.

May Day is the first national test of what can be done when we collectively DO NOT PARTICIPATE in business as usual for one day. Let’s make May Day a unified, statewide pause in daily economic activity. No Work. No School. No Shopping… And continue to explore - look into, sign-up for - what's next in the Witticists Virtual Ongoing Saturday monthly meetings.

WITTicists “We’re In This Together” Georgette deBlois, host, is passionate about social issues, Voter’s Rights, pro-education, choice, diversity and LGBTQ+. In March of 2025, Randy Jones joined with her to form an online political discussion group called the WITTicists, WITT being an acronym for We’re In This Together.

In October 2025, we were invited to be an "Indivisible" Group. I host virtual meetings. Randy attends both virtual and In-Person meetings, and rallies. Our intentions? To break the yoke of disinformation and misinformation with peaceful, no-nonsense, loud voices, declare allegiance to the Constitution and the Protection of Our Democracy.

This an Indivisible Virtual Ongoing event

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

WORKSHOP | Yes, you can host a house party!

Why host a house party? Yes, door knocks, phone banks, postcards, rallies are all important organizing tools. But in 2026, we need to do something more and different to win. House parties can:

Reach voters outside of our political bubbles

Have friend and neighbor conversations with those who support our democratic values

Inoculate voters against the onslaught of right-wing media

Expand our volunteer base and engage volunteers to register voters

Are you thinking about hosting a house party, but don't know how to get started? If you've never hosted one before (and even if you're a fellow introvert), or just want a refresher, join the Bay Area Coalition Mondays, 5 pm (PT) / 7 pm (CT) / 8 pm (ET) for our house party workshop ...

How to plan your house party

Tips and tools for hosting conversations with your friends, neighbors, colleagues

You'll leave the workshop fired up and ready to host your house party!

One of the first objectives of civil resistance movements is to attract more people to the movement and mobilize them into action. It has been demonstrated that no movement with 3.5% of the population engaged in continuous mobilization has ever failed - but they used other actions beyond mass demonstrations. Join us in planning actions to make this happen.

Immigrant Justice Summer Call #3: Show Up With a Plan — Roles and Rapid Response Strategies

When an ICE surge hits and there is no clarity on what to do, responses stall and the window to act closes fast. This call trains you on the components of a rapid response: the coordinated set of actions your community takes in real time when ICE is active, and what it looks like to show up with a plan.

On this one-hour national training call, you will:

  • Learn the structural components of a strong rapid response plan, what it includes, how it's organized, and communication tools that make it effective.

  • Explore the specific roles people can play within that plan, from documentation and filming, to school patrol, small business outreach, and mutual aid coordination.

  • Hear directly from local groups that have responded to a surge, sharing the tactics they deployed, the roles their members filled, and the learnings other communities can apply.

You'll leave with the knowledge and framework to develop a plan adapted to your own community context so that when a rapid response is necessary you can show up with a plan. This is the third call in the five-part Immigrant Justice Summer training series, open to all Indivisible members.

Kevin Kiley has voted for all of these disasterous policies. Help us hold Kevin Kiley accountable.

On this Zoom call, we will hear from local leaders, discuss the current political situation, share stories, discuss ways to take action to ensure Kiley is removed from office next November, and next steps for our movement.

Immigrant Justice Summer Call # 4: How to Funnel Support for Immigrant Justice in Your Community

When an ICE surge hits, community support floods in from every direction. Without a system to direct it, that energy scatters. This call trains you on how to build a link tree that functions as your community's entry point into the immigrant-led response, channeling new people, information, and training and mutual resources directly to where they're needed on the ground.

On this one-hour national training call, you will:

  • Learn what the funnel model looks like in practice: how your group routes community support to the organizations leading the response without creating a parallel structure.

  • Get trained on how to build a link tree that captures what people need to plug in, including messaging guidance, mutual aid resources, direct support campaigns for people impacted, and training opportunities for people who want to get involved.

  • Hear directly from a group leader who has used this model in a real surge scenario, sharing what they put on their link tree, how they vetted it, and how they kept it current.

You'll leave with the knowledge and a concrete tool to set up your own link tree and put it in your community's hands. This is the fourth call in the five-part Immigrant Justice Summer training series, open to all Indivisible members.

Immigrant Justice Summer# Call 5: How to Use Signal for Rapid Response Organizing in Your Community

When ICE comes to your community, the window to coordinate is measured in minutes. A rapid response plan means nothing if your communication infrastructure isn't already in place. This hands-on workshop trains you on how to use Signal to build the secure, layered communication structure your community needs to respond fast when it matters most.

In this workshop, we will cover:

  • Why Signal: Why immigrant justice organizers use Signal for rapid response coordination, and what makes it the right tool for high-stakes, secure communication in a surge scenario.

  • How organizers are using it right now: A look at how immigrant justice organizers across the country, including during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, have used Signal to coordinate in real time across coalitions.

  • Hands-on practice: Live walkthrough of how to set up the Signal structures you need so you leave with a working setup.

You'll leave with a Signal infrastructure ready to use the next time ICE comes to your community. This is the fifth and final call in the Immigrant Justice Summer training series, open to all Indivisible members.

Are you thinking about canvassing, but don't feel quite ready? If you've never canvassed before, or just need a refresher, join the Bay Area Coalition Tuesdays, 7 pm (PST) to talk about what your canvassing day will look like, including ..........

  • How to have meaningful and deep canvassing conversations with voters

  • How to register voters

  • How to use the PDI Mobile app

You'll leave the call fired up and ready to knock on doors!

Or, if you are not able to knock doors, you can still support volunteer canvassers in the Central Valley - donate here https://secure.actblue.com/donate/centralvalleycanvassing

Remember attending a Town Hall last year? Or maybe you signed a pledge after a text banking session in November. Perhaps you've done phonebanking with us recently. Maybe you are brand new to activism, and want to take action because you can no longer sit on the sidelines.

There are many concerns: health care, food assistance, education funding, getting ICE out of our communities, and creeping authoritarianism.

Bring your passion, skills, ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm!

What’s in My Toolkit?

House Majority Runs Through California Phone Banks!

In 2025, California made history by passing Prop 50. Now it’s time to turn that victory into lasting change by Taking Back the House!

We're going to reach out to voters in our targeted districts early to hear their issues, concerns and ideas. And we'll be using some of the best practices from Deep Canvassing to have more engaged and meaningful conversations.

Join our virtual phone banks with the Bay Area Coalition and other California Democratic Party partners and help stop the Trump / MAGA authoritarian takeover.

We need your help! Virtual phone banks using the Scale to Win dialer have become an essential part of campaigns. Whether you’re new to phone banking or an expert, you have a place with our people-powered campaigns. The good news is, phone banking is easy to learn and can be done from the comfort of your own home. We'll provide training on both the deep canvassing script and how to use Scale to Win.

Bring a friend and be part of the movement shaping the future of our state and our country. Join us and help Take Back the House!

After We March, We Organize! Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group

  • Virtual Meeting - Join from anywhere. (map)

WORKSHOP | Yes, you can(vass)!

One voter and one conversation at a time ... that's how Democrats win!

Studies have shown that turnout increases by up to 9 percentage points through door-to-door canvassing!

After We March, We Organize! Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group

  • Virtual Meeting - Join from anywhere. (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Mass demonstrations, like Hands Off!, NO KINGS, and Good Trouble Lives On, generate a tremendous amount of energy! We can't let that energy dissipate. We can harness it and turn it into action.

Come learn how to be an organizer and make change in your community. We'll teach you all the things we wish we'd known when we got started. We often have guest speakers on topics like Immigrant Rights, Indigenous History, Cybersecurity, How to Protest Safely, and more!

Bring your passion, skills, ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm!

What’s in My Toolkit?

Immigrant Justice Summer Call #2: How to Connect with Immigrant Justice Orgs in Your Community

The strength of any response to ICE enforcement depends on the relationships that exist before a surge hits. This call trains you on community ecosystem mapping, a structured tool for identifying who is already organizing immigrant defense work in your community, what they are working on, and where the gaps are in your local organizing ecosystem.

On this one-hour national training call, you will:

  • Learn why following the lead of impacted communities is the foundation of an effective response, and get an honest look at some of the challenges of strategic allyship.

  • Get trained on community ecosystem mapping, including the specific questions to ask about the organizations, communication channels, and community champions already active in your community.

  • Hear directly from local Indivisible group leaders about what ecosystem mapping unlocked for their ability to mount a safe, effective, nonviolent community response in alignment with the immigrant-led organizations in their community.

You'll leave with the knowledge and framework to develop a concrete picture of the organizing ecosystem in your own community. This is the second call in the five-part Immigrant Justice Summer training series, open to all Indivisible members.

Hold Congress Accountable: Deep Canvass Persuasion Phone Bank

Join this phone bank to learn how to deep canvass and persuade conflicted voters and save our democracy this year!

We The Fighters is launching a national deep canvass strategy in 15 key battleground Districts to hold Republican Members of Congress accountable at the ballot box this November. Persuasion and meaning-making will be a crucial part of the strategy to impact the 2026 midterm elections. ‘Deep canvassing’ is one of the most effective strategies to help persuade conflicted voters.

Deep canvassing is widely considered a promising and uniquely effective form of political persuasion. While traditional canvassing often focuses on quick "scripts" to identify supporters, deep canvassing uses 10–20 minute non-judgmental conversations to shift underlying beliefs.

We The Fighters supported a recent deep canvass political persuasion pilot program where we tested deep canvass persuasion scripts with conflicted voters and the results were incredibly powerful: voters reported a decrease in support for the incumbent in 44% of the conversation and shifted from being supportive or undecided to opposing the incumbent 27% of the time.

WHAT YOU NEED: You will need a laptop and cell phone to participate in the phone bank and we will sending instructions on how to log into the dialer that we will be using for the phone bank in advance of the phone bank. We will have a training at the beginning for all new callers to prepare you to have a powerful deep canvass persuasion conversation.
