PWD joins the NO KINGS RALLY

Placer Women Democrats will be with The NO KINGS RALLY June 14, 2026

"America has a long history, rooted in white supremacy, of suppressing the rights of people of color. But our history also clearly shows that people-powered movements are how we end authoritarianism. Each time we show up, we disrupt President Trump’s attempts to rule through repression and remind the country, and the world, that people power is our path to a truly free America.

Authoritarians want fear, silence, and isolation. We choose joy. We choose community. We choose people power. Rise Up, Sing Out is about reclaiming patriotism as something inclusive, participatory, and rooted in care for one another — not power, pageantry, or one person’s spotlight."

More info from NO KINGS here: https://www.nokings.org/

Sign up and join us June 14!

Note that this isn't No Kings 4. It is the anniversary of No Kings 1. No Kings is promoting "A Concert for the First Amendment. A Night to Build Community.", which actually takes place later in the day. This is nonetheless a great way to start the day!

NO KINGS FOLSOM!

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, we choose to sustain an inclusive community - people coming together — across race, background, identity, belief, and community — to defend our rights and build a future rooted in people power. People-powered movements are how we end authoritarianism.

Since February 1, 2026, in the face of unprecedented attacks, we have sustained a weekly Sunday morning protest in Folsom and on June 14th we will use this protest to amplify the message that we are a nation of NO KINGS!

Please join us for this peaceful, non-violent, and family-friendly event! Bring your signs, bring your family and friends to enjoy community, music, balloons, bubbles, and fun!

See details on the concert here- https://riseupsingout.com/

The Lineup The concert will feature Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Sasha Allen, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more!

✨ 250 years later, we still choose community over kings. ✨ Grab your favorite cocktail or mocktail, throw on your festive loungewear, and invite your friends for an evening of music, laughter, connection, with a twist of fun and collective joy. While others turn patriotism into a performance centered on power, we’re choosing something different — community, creativity, and action. We’re celebrating the freedoms that belong to all of us and the people who make those freedoms meaningful every day.

And because we know so many are feeling the pressure of rising costs for gas, groceries, and everyday essentials, we wanted to create a celebration that’s fun, welcoming, affordable, and accessible to everyone. Leading with Inclusion — Courageous Solidarity Across LGBTQ+ Communities

As movements work to build lasting power, inclusive leadership and strategic solidarity are essential. Join us for Leading with Inclusion: Solidarity Across LGBTQ+ Communities, a conversation that celebrates the history, resilience, and leadership of LGBTQ+ people while exploring how we can strengthen movements through accountable allyship and inclusive practices.

This session will examine the challenges LGBTQ+ communities continue to face, particularly at the intersections of race, class, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Together, we will explore how systems of oppression impact LGBTQ+ people and learn practical strategies for creating more welcoming, affirming, and effective movement spaces.

Our featured speaker, Katie Blair, serves as Vice President of Advocacy at PFLAG National, where she leads national campaigns and legislative advocacy on issues including healthcare access, parental rights, school censorship, conversion therapy, and civil rights protections for LGBTQ+ people.

Join us for a powerful conversation exploring what it means to build movements rooted in belonging, courage, and solidarity.

After We March, We Organize! Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group

Mass demonstrations, like Hands Off!, NO KINGS, and Good Trouble Lives On, generate a tremendous amount of energy! We can't let that energy dissipate. We can harness it and turn it into action.

Come learn how to be an organizer and make change in your community. We'll teach you all the things we wish we'd known when we got started. We often have guest speakers on topics like Immigrant Rights, Indigenous History, Cybersecurity, How to Protest Safely, and more!

One of the first objectives of civil resistance movements is to attract more people to the movement and mobilize them into action. It has been demonstrated that no movement with 3.5% of the population engaged in continuous mobilization has ever failed - but they used other actions beyond mass demonstrations. Join us in planning actions to make this happen.

Solidarity Warriors is an action-focused, Indivisible group formed after the November election. We're one of the main groups organizing mass demonstrations in Denver. We're made up of people from across the nation, many in Colorado. We're focused on action rather than just airing political grievances, so please come prepared to talk about what you want to DO to resist the new administration and protect vulnerable communities.

We're making sure you do.

Good Trouble Lives On - Host Support Training

Join this virtual training to learn how you can host a voter registration event and support your community in ensuring they can exercise their freedom to vote.

We are facing the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations. We’re witnessing a Jim-Crow era effort from politicians to restrict our freedoms and silence Black and Brown communities in order to consolidate their power.

But the spirit that powered Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our collective action.

Six years after the passing of Congressman Lewis, we continue the fight for voting rights with “Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action (GTLO)" from July 17-19.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom. What better way to celebrate than by registering people to vote. We are an upbeat, positive, non-confrontational team. We use surveys to engage participants. This "hook" provides us with the opportunity to talk to people and find out if they are registered to vote. It also gives us the opportunity to educate them and find out what their political views are and what issues matter to them. We will be providing voting information, candidate information and answering voting questions. We will also be focusing on getting out the vote for the Mid-terms and encouraging them to register and vote.

CADEM Rural Coalition & RUBI - Understanding the Rural / Urban Divide

CADEM's Rural Coalition is partnering with the Rural Urban Bridge Initiative (RUBI) to present this important two-session training "Understanding and Overcoming the Rural Urban Divide".

During this comprehensive workshop, we examine the five underlying causes of the rural urban divide over the past 40 years, and outline what progressive groups, candidates, and parties can do about it. The ultimate objective is to defuse hostility and contempt, find mutual understanding and common ground, and build multi-racial working and middle-class solidarity between rural, suburban, and urban dwellers.

Session 1 - June 23rd at 6pm The first session looks in depth at how we got into this mess, beginning with the economic causes of the divide but also including culture, language and messaging and more.

Session 2 - June 30th at 6pm The second session focuses on effective strategies to overcome the divide and win back rural and working class voters, including far better public policy, community engagement and messaging and communications.

RUBI's practical solutions are based on research by their own and other scholars as well as the personal experiences of rural progressive organizers.

Reclaim Our Vote Postcard-Writing

Reclaim Our Vote Postcard-Writing

Reclaim Our Vote is a grassroots campaign focused on increasing Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) voter turnout through postcarding, texting, and phonebanking. It is one of several programs run by the Center for Common Ground whose mission is to educate and empower voters of color in voter suppression states. With the blatant exclusion of black voting representation in southern states, this outreach is even more important. Auburn Indivisible will be joining Sierra Foothills Unitarian Universalists in writing 1000 postcards to voters in North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. The first 2 post carding parties have been scheduled - July 2 from 10 am - noon at SFUU (190 Finley St. in Auburn), and July 21 from noon-2 pm at JimBoys Tacos in Auburn. See you in July!

Bring a dark pen to write with. A colored pen or pencil can be used to highlight info, if you wish. Postcard stamp donations are very welcome. USPS shares that approved stamps are printed with a UV-special ink. heavily-discounted stamps bought online are not printed with this special ink and will cause the correspondence to be tagged and destroyed.

Kevin Kiley has voted for all of these disasterous policies. Help us hold Kevin Kiley accountable.

On this Zoom call, we will hear from local leaders, discuss the current political situation, share stories, discuss ways to take action to ensure Kiley is removed from office next November, and next steps for our movement.

What’s in My Toolkit?

  • Virtual event - Join from anywhere! (Hosted in Santa Rosa) (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This an Indivisible Virtual Ongoing Series. Beginner Friendly. Hosted from Santa Rosa, CA 95402

YOU are invited to Sign-up, Register for this Ongoing Series - Witticists Virtual Neighbor Meetings. “What’s in My Toolkit?”

In these meetings, let’s explore “What’s in my Toolkit?” Am I ready to take action in my local community and challenge an authoritarian system with “Demands?” No Wars. Tax the rich. Ice out. No private army with unchecked federal power? Protect: Voter’s Rights, Suppression, Results, and Mail-in Voting? Community support needs? My Neighbors?

“On Friday, January 23, Minnesotans of every race, place, and faith gathered across the state in prayer vigils for a Day of Truth and Freedom. It was a state wide day of non-violent moral action, reflection: no work, no school, no shopping — only community, conscience, and collective action.” Minneapolis and the Twin Cities set an example of how to take action in their local communities. Their “actions” were an incentive for other grassroots city and state leaders to study what Minnesota had done and how it could be adapted in their areas.

May Day is the first national test of what can be done when we collectively DO NOT PARTICIPATE in business as usual for one day. Let’s make May Day a unified, statewide pause in daily economic activity. No Work. No School. No Shopping… And continue to explore - look into, sign-up for - what's next in the Witticists Virtual Ongoing Saturday monthly meetings.

WITTicists “We’re In This Together” Georgette deBlois, host, is passionate about social issues, Voter’s Rights, pro-education, choice, diversity and LGBTQ+. In March of 2025, Randy Jones joined with her to form an online political discussion group called the WITTicists, WITT being an acronym for We’re In This Together.

In October 2025, we were invited to be an "Indivisible" Group. I host virtual meetings. Randy attends both virtual and In-Person meetings, and rallies. Our intentions? To break the yoke of disinformation and misinformation with peaceful, no-nonsense, loud voices, declare allegiance to the Constitution and the Protection of Our Democracy.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Hold Congressman Kevin Kiley Accountable >> CA-06 Text Bank

President Trump and Rep. Kevin Kiley have passed a budget bill that represents one of the largest transfers of wealth from the working class to the obscenely rich in American history. As a result of the legislation, 16+ million Americans will lose their health care and it will result in an additional 51,000 preventable deaths annually; more than a million children will go hungry; and working-class Americans will not be able to afford college.

We are building a powerful movement to hold Congress accountable for their support for the 'disastrous piece of legislation.' The first step is reaching out to Americans who will be impacted by this legislation.

We are texting voters in California's 6th Congressional District who are in danger of losing their health care or food assistance and let them know what has happened; who was responsible for these cuts; and invite them to take action to hold their Member of Congress accountable.

You will need a laptop, cell phone, and stable internet connection.

Training and tech support will be available. Our goal is to make you successful!

The fight to protect voting rights never ends, and right now, we’re witnessing a Jim-Crow-era effort from politicians and their billionaire friends to restrict our freedoms, silence our voices, and consolidate power.

But in America, we choose our leaders. We will decide our future. The same spirit that fueled Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our unified action.

Six years after the passing of Congressman Lewis, we're organizing an event in our community to carry the torch, continue the legacy of John Lewis, and pass it forward to future generations. Join us!

A core principle behind all Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

The Rally will be held along the public sidewalks in front of the Galleria and the Fountains. Sidewalks and grassy areas are mostly flat, but caution should be taken to prevent trips and falls over tree roots, curbs, etc.

Good Trouble Training 202: How to REACH voters!

Join this virtual training to learn how you can host a voter registration event and support your community in ensuring they can exercise their freedom to vote.

We are facing the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations. From anti-voter laws designed to put up barriers to voting, to threats to deploy ICE at the polls, we’re witnessing a Jim-Crow era effort from politicians to restrict our freedoms and silence Black and Brown communities in order to consolidate their power.

But the spirit that powered Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our collective action.

Six years after the passing of Congressman Lewis, we continue the fight for voting rights with “Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action (GTLO)" from July 17-19.

Join us this week as we read the Declaration of Independence aloud together and reflect on what its words ask of us in 2026. We'll hear from Indivisible Westminsters, the organizers behind a nationwide project encouraging everyone — at rallies, backyard parties, fireworks shows, or even alone — to read the Declaration out loud this Fourth of July. They'll share how your group, family, or community can make a public reading the centerpiece of the day, and how to film it and post clips online using the hashtag #WeHoldTheseTruths2026. Bring your voice and your neighbors and help reclaim the founding promise that all of us are created equal.

Organizing to Protect Democracy: How Elections Work

Our right to vote is facing relentless attacks. Supreme Court decisions, redistricting wars, and anti-voter legislation have put access to voting under strain. But this fight is ours, and we'll continue to show up.

We know these attacks are meant to overwhelm and confuse us. That's why this Organizing to Protect Democracy session is focused on confidently understanding the systems that shape our elections and democracy.

During this training, you'll hear from election safeguarding experts as we discuss the strategies our movement needs to ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot this November.

You'll leave knowing:

  • How our electoral systems work

  • How to organize for election advocacy in your community

  • How to help protect access to the ballot

  • And more!

The better we understand our electoral systems, the better we can protect them. Join us on June 10.

D-Day Defend Democracy
Jun

D-Day Defend Democracy

Saturday, June 6th is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day when allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy where they fought and died to protect our freedoms. In that spirit, we are joining with the Visibility Bridge, and associated groups across the United States, to stand on overpasses across the country to both honor WWII veterans who fought to protect our freedoms, and to bring that same fighting spirit to protecting our democracy and voting rights.

If you are a veteran, we would be especially honored if you could join Indivisible Auburn CA as we honor those who gave everything in WWII, lift up FDR's Four Freedoms (Freedom of Speech, of Worship, from Want, from Fear), and draw a clear line between the sacrifices made on those beaches and the moment we are living through right now.

Bring your signs and flags and your spirit. Remember-

  1. Be safe crossing the streets and stay on the sidewalk.

  2. Do not engage with antagonists. Nothing good comes from it.

  3. Do not attach anything to the fencing. If you do, you may be asked to take it down from law enforcement.

Gold Country Fighting Oligarchy Monthly Update

Remember attending a Town Hall last year? Or maybe you signed a pledge after a text banking session in November. Perhaps you've done phonebanking with us recently. Maybe you are brand new to activism, and want to take action because you can no longer sit on the sidelines.

There are many concerns: health care, food assistance, education funding, getting ICE out of our communities, and creeping authoritarianism.

Bring your passion, skills, ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm!

This a local Indivisible event!

Every good protest movement needs music. Music lifts us up and has always sustained us in troubled times. We will gather to weave our voices together in chants and songs; building community along the way. Our songs will encourage and inspire us, and everyone around us, as we embark on this consequential march toward the midterms in November, and beyond. All voices, all ages, are welcome. There is no charge to participate. We are all on this journey together.
