Mass Call: How to Make Good Trouble

  • Virtual event - Join from anywhere! (map)

We’re witnessing a Jim Crow-era effort from politicians to restrict our freedom to vote and silence Black and Brown communities in a desperate attempt to stay in power. But we won't let that happen.

That's why, from July 17th - July 19th – six years after the passing of Civil Rights hero John Lewis – we're continuing the fight with the “Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action,” a national nonpartisan, nonviolent weekend of action to resist threats against the right to the vote.

Join a Mass Call with Good Trouble Lives On to learn how you can organize or attend a local event in your community to continue the fight for civil rights & support one another in exercising our sacred freedom to vote.

True power is built in our neighborhoods. It’s a lesson we’ve learned from the civil rights leaders who came before us, and it’s a legacy we are actively defending today. Join us on Tuesday, July 7th to learn how you and your neighborhood can be a part of it.

Good Trouble Lives On is a non-partisan weekend of action. We require that participants commit to not advocate for, endorse, or oppose any political candidate or ballot initiative. A core principle behind all Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
