ACLU Know Your Voting Rights: A Training with Black Voters Matter

  • Virtual event - Join from anywhere! (map)

As we move closer to this year's National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) on September 15, 2026, we’re reminding our leaders: The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy, and we’ll always work to protect it for every eligible American.

After you’ve registered to vote, checked your registration, or helped your community get registered on NVRD, join the ACLU for a virtual Know Your Voting Rights training featuring Black Voters Matter on Wednesday, September 16th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT. This training will focus on how our communities can exercise the right to vote, including how we can protect ourselves and fellow voters from intimidation and unnecessary obstacles that voters could face at the polls.

During our training, we’ll cover:

  • What your federal voting rights look like

  • Voter intimidation and other potential barriers to participation

  • Ways you can access disability-related accommodations and language assistance at the polls
