Saturday, June 6th is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day when allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy where they fought and died to protect our freedoms. In that spirit, we are joining with the Visibility Bridge, and associated groups across the United States, to stand on overpasses across the country to both honor WWII veterans who fought to protect our freedoms, and to bring that same fighting spirit to protecting our democracy and voting rights.
If you are a veteran, we would be especially honored if you could join Indivisible Auburn CA as we honor those who gave everything in WWII, lift up FDR's Four Freedoms (Freedom of Speech, of Worship, from Want, from Fear), and draw a clear line between the sacrifices made on those beaches and the moment we are living through right now.
Bring your signs and flags and your spirit. Remember-
Be safe crossing the streets and stay on the sidewalk.
Do not engage with antagonists. Nothing good comes from it.
Do not attach anything to the fencing. If you do, you may be asked to take it down from law enforcement.
